Memory Box
The Museum has created a memory box of embroidered items which were in everyday use in the past. These include trousseau items such as a silk nightgown and petticoat, traycloths and doyleys and a tablecloth commemorating the coronation of King George VI.
This box is designed to encourage memories and could be used to stimulate discussion in any group of older people.
The box is available by ringing the Guild on (08) 8234 1104 or by emailing  contact@embguildsa.org.au

About Time 2012 - History Month
Exhibition
The Museum will have on display many items from the Olive Braun collection in an exhibition titled "Exceptional Embroiderer - Olive Braun." Olive Braun was an outstanding embroiderer and her art needlework was exhibited at Royal Agricultural Shows across Australia and New Zealand from 1930 to 1966. She won 14,600 prizes in all. The collection will be on display from May 1st until the Guild closes in mid-December. During History Month, the British Embroidery Study Group will be also be showcasing our British embroidery history.
