Membership is open to all who are interested in embroidery in all its aspects. Experience is not necessary as beginners and advanced members all benefit from classes regularly conducted by the Guild.
Annual membership subscriptions fall due on 1st June each year. The subscription rate is reviewed annually. Members receive a monthly newsletter. This newsletter, the Review, includes a diary of meetings and classes. It also contains news from the City and Country Branches as well as interstate and overseas guilds. Articles of general interest to all embroiderers are also included. Members may attend as many open Guild meetings as they wish. A small attendance fee is payable each time members attend Guild Headquarters. All members are welcome to visit or attend on a regular basis and are invited to make suggestions for the yearly programme. Membership Fees for 2011/2012 Membership for one year is from 1st June to 31st May and is open to all people who are interested in embroidery. Regular meetings and guidance days are held throughout the year. Subscription Types

Eliza Bagley, your Support Officer, will be pleased to meet you in the Studio (The House) from 10.30am to answer any questions you may have. During the meeting there will be an opportunity to look through the Museum with a knowledgeable Museum member. The mysteries will be explained on such things as signing on, payment of subs for attendance at the Groups, the Library procedure and all those little things that are taken for granted when you have been a member for a while. If a new member cannot attend the day meetingan evening meeting can be arranged on either the 1st Monday or the 3rd Tuesday, or any Thursday at a time to suit you. These are the evening meeting dates and you can join in with the Group if you wish, or discover what they do ready for the next month. For further information please contact the Guild on 8234 1104. |
