The library contains a comprehensive collection of embroidery related books and other material supporting the aims of the Guild, which are ‘ To encourage the practice, study and appreciation of embroidery in all its forms and to encourage excellence by practice and example’.
The Library is managed by volunteers, who form a Guild Sub-committee consisting of the Librarian and the Library Team members.
Opening hours are from 10.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday and at other times at the discretion of Tutors and Group Convenors.
Borrowing is limited to financial members of the Guild however members of the public, especially textile and embroidery students, are welcome to study our resources on the premises by prior arrangement with the Librarian through the Guild office.
