General Stitching Groups
Open Day/Evenings
Open Days and Evenings are very informal. They were formed to enable any member to bring their own work to the Guild to embroider in friendly company.
Meeting times are Thursdays (10.30am - 2.30pm) and Thursday evenings (5.30pm - 9.30pm).
The evening meetings have become very special to the members who are unable, through work or family commitments, to attend during the day. Convenor: Mary Hall (evening)
Guidance Day/Evenings
Guidance Days and Evenings are open to all members. Experienced embroiderers are in attendance in a voluntary capacity to offer assistance to those who come with their work. These are not formal teaching days but our volunteers are quite happy to pass on tips and give guidance to less experienced members in all aspects of embroidery.
Guidance Days are held at 10.30am on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Guidance Evenings are held at 7.00pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Demonstrations of various techniques are held. Beginners are especially welcome. Convenors: Soly Milics (Day), Kerry Sanders (Evening)
